D27 – Sept 27 – A night and a day in Vladivostok

The city is both compared to San Francisco and Istanbul.
It has the SF wind, hills, and hype.
It has the Istanbul Bosphorus and bridges.

I was on y own today. Chrystèle wasn’t here to interact with the locals and ask them to find our way. Though, I’m quite good with understanding written messages. Here for instance, I can tell you that you should read, for the bottom panel: “Pushkin street”.

Yep. But I am not good at speaking, Chrystèle was much better.
Let me show you a sample of what it was to speak with locals.
I’m playing the local of course, but unfortunately I didn’t manage to look as grumpy as i should:)

  1. Unbelievable city, at least from your pictures! And I can see that you both with Crystel learnt a lot of Russian! Congratulations! You sound pretty Russian:) asking for the distance to the railway station , hihihihi. On the first panel you can also read Schefner Street. My Russian is very poor nowadays, but I can tell you that Crystel Accent is very good. Besides I think Stephanie that you misssed your hidden talent. You should become an actress. Yes! and one small tip – next to your head scarf you should hold the bucket in your hand.
