D38 – Oct. 8 – A wet National Park

We slept on Ondols , which are very thin mattresses, kind of futons, though without tatamis underneath. On the other hand, we could benefit from the subfloor heating… It was so hot that we had leave the windows opened all night. Conclusion: When I woke up this morning I felt as fresh and vivid as a Salmon A l’Unilateral…

Then, we walked through the Seoraksan National Park.
It rained all day, a side effect of the Danas typhoon, which is heading South of Korea at the moment…
When I searched for information about this typhoon in the Western media, they were only reporting on the Formula One Grand Prix, supposed to take place in Korea, everyone wondering if the show would take place – No mention of people, except of pilots!

Anyway, the typhoon seems to move away, quite a relief I must say…
