330 kilometers across the Thar Desert. I had no idea that such landscapes exist in North India. After a couple of hours on the road, we stop by a bricks factory, where twenty people or so are working under the sun. Every single day of their hell life, they are going to repeat the same gesture, again and again and again…

Here, camels are replacing cows as carts pullers.
So no surprise when, in the afternoon, we pass by a camel stock.

We will mainly drive on asphalt, which is good news. We are gonna overtake trucks, tractors, carts, scooters, pedestrians, cow, goats, dogs, cats… We will even see vultures (vautours), waiting for us on the road. They look exactly like the ones from Luck Luke comic books!!!

At 5PM, I start to yell, to stretch on the bike, my ass hurts, my hands are achy, so I’m more than happy when we finally reach our haveli hotel. The staff is waiting for us with drinks, on the terrace, with an amazing view on the fort we will visit tomorrow. From my window, I will also observe women who are starting a fire for cooking the dinner, and boys coming back from school…

One more time, at sunset, the light is amazing… Enjoy my friends.
