D80. Nov 19. Vibrating mountain roads

Tuesday morning. I leave Udaipur a bit dizzy. May be too much milk ? I don’t know but I hope it will not get worse… Today we will ride seven hours, 230 km…Capture d’écran 2013-11-21 à 16.46.31 Capture d’écran 2013-11-21 à 16.46.41

But first, we stop by the Kumbalgarh Fort, only 80 km northwest of Udaipur.
Built on a hilltop 1100 meters above sea level, the fort of Kumbhalgarh has perimeter walls that extend 36 km. According to our guide, this is the longest wall on earth after the Chinese one. In any case, it is, indeed, quite impressive!

After lunch, we ride through mountain roads. It is the first time ever that I do so and I really enjoy it like crazy… Even though it gets quite exhausting after a while. I have set my camera on the bike handlebar (guidon), I hope I will capture the landscape: the Aravellis Mounts at the beginning, then the arid plains of Marwar. On our way, we even see monkeys, jumping from one tree to another on the mountain roads.

Unfortunately my friends, putting my camera on the handlebar wasn’t such a good idea. I will find out that it is vibrating like crazy. a little bit like a scrapie sheep would have hold the camera (tremblante du mouton).
Still, I am adding some very short footage here, long enough for you to see the landscape, but not long enough for you to vomit on the way…
I swear, I’ll do better tomorrow !!!
