The first time I saw cemeteries in the country, I couldn’t really understand what it was.

Influenced by siberian shamanism, the moving funeral architecture of the Kirghize population is amazingly creative.

These iron tombs (below) appeared during the soviet times. shapes like yurts, Kirghize people live there after they died.

In Tamga, South bank of the issyk-Kul Lake, these special yurts get ornamented with tulips – The Central Asia flower – and mouflon horns – an ancestral pattern you also find on their felt carpets.
